Tzatziki meets Raïta

 When Greek tzatziki visits Mumbai.

A refreshing cucumber salad — not a dip — silky with thick Greek yogurt, perfumed with mint + coriander, hit with lime, cumin, and yes… raw garlic for that unapologetic Mediterranean punch.

It's bright. It's fragrant. It's almost too seductive for something made of plants.

And most importantly — it’s the ultimate sidekick to FIERY curries. Vindaloo, phaal, ghost pepper chicken — bring it on. This salad was born to put out culinary fires.

🛒 Ingredients

Cucumber — thinly sliced, not grated

Thick Greek yogurt

Extra virgin olive oil

Fresh lime juice

Raw garlic, very finely minced

Ground cumin

Fresh mint, chopped

Fresh coriander, chopped

Salt & freshly cracked black pepper

🔧 Method

1. Slice the cucumber whisper-thin — almost transparent.

2. In a bowl, whisk Greek yogurt + olive oil + lime juice + garlic + cumin + salt + pepper.

3. Add the mint & coriander — gently

4. Fold in the cucumber just before serving

5. Serve chilled alongside your hot curry or grilled meat.
