Hey there, I’m Loïc Jonet
I’ve spent the last 20 years working in restaurants — and even longer eating in them. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that food is never just food. It’s stories, cultures, people, and occasionally, chaos in the kitchen (the kind you laugh about later… usually).
Travel is my biggest source of inspiration. I love sitting down to a classic dish in its homeland, but I’m equally drawn to fusion twists, obscure ingredients, and experiments that make friends raise their eyebrows before admitting, “Actually, that’s delicious.” For me, cooking is part history lesson, part playground.
This blog is where I bring it all together — recipes I love, flavours I discover, and, from time to time, a good old-fashioned rant about whatever culinary crime I’ve spotted lately. Think of it as a mix of inspiration, storytelling, and a friendly nudge to try something new (preferably with a glass of wine in hand).
So welcome! Pull up a chair, and let’s share the journey — one bite, one laugh, and maybe one rant at a time.
